The Trim Collection
Designed 2020
Trim was an exercise in taking a basic, well-known form and arranging its parts in a way that’s practical, but a little unexpected. We wanted a minimal outdoor café chair that provided a more accessible outdoor dining chair option. It also needed to do a lot— stackable, durable and built to brave the elements. To achieve the latter, we used perforated powder-coated steel for the seat and back, which allows water to drain and gives the slender silhouette more visual appeal. We trimmed the back right at the arm to create additional open space and enhance the stackability. The formalness of its geometry paired with a sophisticated color palette make Trim a charming al fresco dining companion in any setting.
